Racism Caught on Camera

Objective: Students will be able to understand why people are mean and how to overcome it.

Procedures:

1. Watch the video.

2. The video talked about 3 different reasons why people are mean.  What were they?

3. Giannie seems to encounter so many mean people, day after day, and she almost gives up her livestreaming platform.  Have you ever felt like you were just being mistreated over and over with no end in sight?  How did you handle it?

4. What does Gianne decide to do?  Why was this the correct, and brave, thing to do?

Closing: The truth is, people are going to be mean.  There will always be mean people, unfortunately.  However, if we hide ourselves away just because of a few rude people, we will never experience the good people of the world.  Sometimes it may seem like there are no good people, but there are.  And they will show up in your life if you let yourself experience all that life has to offer.  Be bold.  Be brave.  Be resilient.
